Present were Chairman Loren Paul, Commissioners Jack Andersen and James Krotz, County Clerk Sindy Coburn and Treasurer Peg Sones.

The Commissioners approved the appointment of Kenny Gibson of Gordon to the Veteran's Service Committee.

The Commissioners approved a correction to the legal description of a subdivision for the site of a Viaero cell tower in 24-34-45.

Road Superintendent Tom Kuester presented his recommendation on the purchase of a new truck.  The Commissioners approved the purchase of a 2020 model T-800 Kenworth for $101,968.

Michelle Heck and Ron Fisher appeared to voice their concerns on the maintenance of a section of 560th Road.

Chuck Lemp of Atarah Managment Holdings LLC met with the Board to further discuss the sale of 60,000 tons of rock at $17/ton from the Cowboy Trail between the county line and Merriman.  Atarah will remove the granite ballast from the road-bed, transport it to agreed upon stockpiles, remove any steel and crush the rock to county specifications.  The Commissioners approved an updated version of our previous contract with Atarah contingent upon the provision of a performance bond.  Atarah agreed to accept payment over the course of four fiscal years.  If weather cooperates the first material should be available for use on country roads in July of 2019.

Chairman Paul announced that the County had received a dividend check in the amount of $12,021 from Nebraska Intergovernmental Risk Management (NIRMA) the member-owned self insurance pool for Nebraska counties.

The next meeting of the Commissioners is scheduled for Tuesday, November 13.
