Commissioners Proceedings Statement - Monday, April 9, 2018
Present were Chairman Loren Paul, Commissioners Jack Andersen and James Krotz, County Clerk Sindy Coburn and Treasurer Peg Sones. Jennifer Nixon, Extension Unit Leader, and Jack Arterburn Sheridan County Extension Educator, presented to the Board a proposed lease for office space offered by the New Christian Center in Rushville. A discussion of the lease raised several questions and the document was referred to the County Attorney for further review. Road Superintendent Tom Kuester informed the board of his intention to offer two more Army surplus trailers for sale at the Otte equipment auction on April 20. Commissioner Andersen, Sheridan County representative to the Governing Board of the Region I Behavioral Health Authority, presented a proposed "Amended Agreement for the Formations of the Region I Behavioral Health Authority and The Dissolution of the Panhandle Mental Health Center and Mental Retardation Facility." The Attorney for Region I will appear before the Commissioners on April 16 to answer questions about the proposal which requires approval by all eleven of the member counties. County Assessor Tina Skinner informed the Board that aerial survey flights of the county by Pictometry pilots had begun in mid-March. The next meeting of the Commissioners is scheduled for Monday, April 16.
