Board of Equalization Minutes - Monday, May 8, 2017

The Sheridan County Board of Commissioners met in regular session at 9 A.M. in the Commissioners Office, Courthouse. All members present. Andersen state that the meeting would be conducted in accordance with the provisions of the Nebraska Open Meeting Act a copy of which is available on the guest desk. Paul made a motion to accept the agenda. Krotz seconded the motion. All voted aye. Krotz made a motion to approve the minutes of 4-17-2017. Paul seconded the motion. All voted aye. Paul made a motion to approve correction #17 addressing a clerical error on Pieper Land and Livestock. A building was put on two parcels of land and the landowner was double taxed for 2015 and 2016. Krotz seconded the motion. With a roll call vote all voted aye. Paul made a motion to approve correction #18 addressing a clerical error for David & Melanie Sexson. An old house has been removed several years ago and Sexson claims he notified the Assessor's office and it still hasn't been corrected. Krotz seconded the motion to make the correction going back for 2014, 2015 and 2016. Statute only allows for reimbursement for three years. With a roll call vote all voted aye. The board signed two other corrections that have already been acted on Barrel House Liquor and Bomgaar's. Adjourn: 9:17 A.M. Attest: Sindy L. Coburn, Clerk Jack Andersen, Chairman
